OUR SECOND MISSION IS COMPLETED! On Tuesday, April 14TH, 2020, United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, Inc. (UPA) completed our second Community Comfort Mission. We provided 56 meals and KN-95 masks to the New York Police Department’s -106TH precinct.
Relationships are at the forefront of United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, Inc.’s Core Values, so when we decided to create our Community Outreach Program, we knew we would want to reach out with support to all of the local relationships we have held over the years. United’s partners grew up in Ozone Park and volunteered for the precinct for over 10 years when they were younger. One of these relationships is a client and friend we helped who happens to serve on the NYPD; officer Frank Reina. In reaching out, we learned that the 106th Precinct was open to the opportunity of a food donation, to feed its officers.
United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, Inc. quickly put the logistics together and was able to deliver 56 homestyle, hot meals and we also provided the precinct with KN-95 masks. The meals consisted of pasta Bolognese, Chicken and Broccoli over white rice, an orange and a home-made chocolate chip cookie. We were able to feed two tours! Since supporting the local community is important to us, we asked chef Gianpiero Ciminna of Sweet Passion Desserts & Caterers to compose a comfort food menu. Chef Gianpiero took the extra care to add a personalized note on our behalf to each meal and delivered the food personally. Chef, we thank you for your support and attention to detail with our mission.
ABOUT THE 106TH PRECINCT The 106th Precinct serves South Central Queens, and includes Ozone Park, South Ozone Park, Lindenwood, Howard Beach, and Old Howard Beach. This precinct is hyper focused on the community by implementing Neighborhood Coordination Officers (NCO’s), who are known to be the local problem solvers. NCO’s are assigned specific sectors to actively engage with local community members and residents in order to discuss crime or quality-of-life issues.
106TH Precinct, we thank you for your impeccable service within our communities and we hope we were able to bring you some comfort with our donation. WE SALUTE YOU!
