Due to food insecurity throughout NYC, the Bronx Board of Managers at the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club worked quickly along side United Public Adjusters to secure donations and Thanksgiving Turkeys for Clubhouse Members and their families.
Due to Turkey shortages, we were fortunate to be introduced to Sysco Food Service distributors who provided great pricing and even handled the logistics to ensure both Bronx Clubhouses were delivered to on 11-21-2020. The Madison staff as well as Volunteers helped distribute 400 Turkeys. While the Turkeys were being distributed, the Madison Team also provided families with canned foods from City Harvest. While this is not the first food pantry, it never gets old watching and hearing how thankful the Madison families are.
