United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, Inc. is looking for a highly experienced Property Insurance Claims Adjuster to join our fast-growing, mission-driven team. This role is primarily office-based, focused on managing claims from start to settlement—but will also involve occasional field meetings with insurance company representatives, engineers, and consultants when necessary.
You’ll play a critical role in driving claims forward, negotiating strategically, and ensuring our clients receive the settlements they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and move active claims through the full lifecycle—from intake to resolution
- Review estimates, engineering reports, policy language, and third-party documentation
- Prepare and submit comprehensive claim presentations
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and advocate for the best possible outcomes
- Collaborate with contents adjusters, estimators, and outside experts to support claim strategy
- Attend joint inspections or expert walkthroughs as needed to support the claim process
- Maintain organized claim files and clear, ongoing communication with clients
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience as a property insurance adjuster—carrier or public side
- Deep knowledge of property insurance policy language, claim handling, and negotiation
- Experience managing both residential and commercial claims
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professionalism and client-first attitude
- Ability to handle time-sensitive files and juggle priorities
- NY Public Adjuster License (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation & Benefits:
